From the board clock to the wristwatch
After the Swiss watchmaker, Ulysse Nardin, established the manufacturer of the same name in 1846 in his native town of Le Locle, the Ulysse Nardin Marine Chronometer achieved worldwide renown. A resounding success, the reliable marine chronometers were used by some 50 naval fleets around the globe and were highly regarded for their precision.
150 years later, in 1996, the Ulysse Nardin Marine finally became a wristwatch. The appearance of the marine watch is in keeping with the characteristic design of the Ulysse Nardin Marine Chronometer from the 19th century, continuing the impressive history of the collection.
The wide variety of models in the Marine collection
Over the years, the Swiss manufacture has produced numerous naval models. In addition to the 42 millimetre Marine model, various versions of the Ulysse Nardin Marine Chronograph are available. If you are looking for a larger Marine model, the 44 millimetre Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine is the perfect choice.
