A spectacular watch movement with a stylish design
The Nomos Glashütte Ahoy series is characterised by a large dial that is comprised of a solid bright or subdued blue. The 40-millimeter case is sleekly framed with steel. A stylish Superluminova effect ensures the optimal readability of the Nomos Ahoy, even in the dark. To top it all off, the dial is equipped with a bright red small seconds hand. The stylish bezel, crown, and crown guard perfectly complement the domed sapphire glass, and together, these elements combine to create a smooth and simplistic watch design. The case back of the watch is comprised of sapphire crystal and is secured by six screws. Depending on the model, either the high-grade Nomos manufactured calibre Epsilon or Zeta can be viewed through the case back of the watch. The Epsilon movement is fitted in the Ahoy Atlantic and the Zeta is outfitted in the Ahoy Datum. Precise and reliable, both calibres are thin, automatically winding, and are 95% produced by hand. Furthermore, the movements can be equipped in other Nomos models.
In accordance with its name, the Ahoy is water resistant up to 20 bar or 200-meters. The watch meets the high-test standards of the Nomos manufacturer as well as the requirements established by the German DIN 8310 standards. The Nomos Ahoy can, therefore, be established as a high-quality functional timepiece.
