The Longines Heritage Avigation clearly demonstrates the close association of the renowned Swiss manufacturer with the world of aviation. In the 1920s, the company collaborated closely with the aviation pioneer Charles Ling Bergh, who in 1927 crossed the Atlantic Ocean alone. The challenges and the adventures he endured were all carried out with a legendary Longines aviator watch around his wrist. Thanks to Bergh’s voyages, Longines was able to assess and create the perfect aviation watch.

It goes without saying that the Longines Watch Avigation Type A-7 (Ref. L2.779.4.53.0) is an exceptional timepiece. The watch immediately catches eyes – especially considering that the face of the watch has been shifted 45 degrees to the right. Thanks to this distinctive design, pilot’s are practically able to read the watch without adjusting the arms or letting go of control instruments. Further highlighting features of the watch include a larger than average stainless steel case and a black alligator leather strap, which perfectly complement one another and exude a sporty yet elegant feel.

The Longines Watch Avigation Type A-7 is a classic pilot’s timepiece that can easily be utilised in everyday situations. The model is presented in various models, all of which stay true to the design of the original timepiece that was produced in the late 1930s. However, the functional elements of the timepiece have been adapted to suit the preferences of current times. The Longines AVIGATION Oversize Crown (Ref. L2.777.4.53.2) is, as the name implies, fit with a very large crown. Furthermore, the case of the timepiece measures 41-millimeters in diameter, which features a small seconds subdial and a date display. The most refined timepiece from the collection is the Longines Avigation (Ref. L2.831.4.53.2) that comes equipped with a 24-hour hand with a time-zone mechanism.
