A practical everyday companion
The Luminor GMT improves on its predecessors by offering a second time zone display. Panerai made this update in response to growing demand from its customers, who were looking for a practical companion for stays in different parts of the world, one which would allow them to easily keep track of the time at home.
The manufacturer complied with this request and at the same time modernized the design of the dial and hands. The time zone sub-dial is at 9 O'clock on all models, while the date display (which can be under a magnifying lens depending on the exact variant) is located discreetly at 3 o'clock. All Panerai Luminor GMT models use an exclusive movement with a power reserve of 42 hours, and they're available in two diameters: 40 mm or 44 mm. There's also a variant called the Luminor GMT Power Reserve, which has a power reserve indicator at 5 O'clock.
The dial is protected by non-reflective sapphire crystal measuring between 2.5 mm and 3.5 mm in thickness. A screwed base and crown protection bridge with locking lever are also an integral part of the high-performing design. Like all Luminor models, the watches in the Luminor GMT collection are water resistant to 300 metres.
The standard strap for this watch comes in high quality leather in a choice of colours, finished off with a folding clasp. Alternatively, you can customise your order with a bracelet made of steel or a combination of steel and titanium.
