Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Calendar: The new 1945 edition

Since 1833, Jaeger-LeCoultre has, from manufacture to finishing, been synonymous with watchmaking at the highest level. With the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Calendar chronograph, this traditional watchmaker from the Swiss Jura pays homage to its original calendar watch of 1945. The watch, equipped with a full calendar, is available in two versions both of which are guaranteed to make the heart of every collector beat faster.

With a case made of the finest stainless steel or rose gold, with water-resistance up to 5 bar and an 866/1 caliber or a stunning black dial: the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Calendar watch impresses with its elegant basics and complete calendar. With a day, month and moon display, this calendar is artfully embedded in the minimalist design of the dial. It easy to read in any conditions. The finely tuned proportions and a diameter of just 39mm make the watch stand out on the wrist whatever the occasion.

The day of the week and the month form a counter duet opposite each other at 12 o'clock and attractively complement the fine nuances of the dial. The red crescent moon on the second hand is particularly noteworthy, discreetly standing out from the silver-grey dial with its sunburst finish.

Perfect watchmaking

In contrast to its sister collection, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Moon, the moon phases display on the Master Calendar is a little smaller. But as with the Master Ultra Thin Moon, the moon moves forward on the slowly rotating moon disc cutout on the dial, showing half-moon, full moon and new moon phases.

This complex complication is made possible by a mechanical movement with automatic winding that consists of 305 individual parts and a power reserve of 40 hours, all artfully created by the expert hands of Jaeger-LeCoultre's watchmakers. Models made from stainless steel or shimmering red gold are available with bracelets crafted from the finest alligator leather in different shades.

A Swiss watchmaking tradition

1,200 different calibers, legendary collections such as the Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris or the Atmos pendulum clock launched in 1931 with an 'eternal movement' are just some of the outstanding innovations from this company's long history. Founder Antoine LeCoultre also developed the millionometre which was able to measure micrometres, enriching the skills of watchmaking with a valuable component. Jaeger-LeCoultre is also known for its production of ultra-slim watches.

The company ensures the quality and accuracy of its watches using its own 1,000-hour test procedure. During this, watches are checked for their resistance to fluctuations in temperature and air pressure, to magnetic fields and to vibrations. Only when a model has successfully passed the tests does it become an integral part of the Jaeger-LeCoultre world.
