Elegant Homage to Pilot Watches
With the Glashütte Original 1845, the traditional manufacturer from eastern Germany produces sporty timepieces with a diameter between 38 and 40 millimeters. The models are characterised by the use of well-balanced elements which are typical for Glashütte watches from the 1930-1940s. These characteristics include:
- a fluted bezel
- an onion crown
- pilot watch minute markers on the dial
Large Variety of Models
The 1845 collection stands out for its multitude of models: apart from stainless steel and gold variants you can also choose between multi-coloured dials. The availability of built-in complications spans from big dates to chronographs and perpetual calendars. The Glashütte Original 1845 No. 03125, for example, ranks amongst the most sought-after references.
Glashütte DNA Thanks to Three Centuries of Watchmaking
A Glashütte Original watch embodies the manufacturer's entire watchmaking expertise since 1845: in 1990, the company became the legal successor to VEB Glashütter Uhrenbetriebe, which had merged and nationalised all watch manufacturers in Glashütte, Germany. To this day, Glashütte Original exclusively produces its own calibers. This applies to the 1845 collection as well.
