With the Breitling Chrono Cockpit, produced in the 1990s and 2000s, the company has brought a watch onto the market with which it once again demonstrates its core competencies. With a diameter of 39 millimetres, the Chrono Cockpit is a smaller version of the Chronomat. The size flatters most wrists and fits the model's sporty yet elegant style perfectly. For ladies, there are also variants of the Chrono Cockpit with a stone-setting, for example on the bezel and/or on the dial. One of the diamond-set highlights is the mother-of-pearl dial (MOP dial), which impresses with an incomparable wealth of facets, especially when viewed in sunlight.

Thanks to the large selection of bracelets, there is more than enough variety. While the typical pilot's bracelet always cuts a fine figure, leather straps provide the Breitling Chrono Cockpit with a refreshingly new look.

The Breitling Chrono Cockpit is equipped with the in-house calibre 13, which, as the dial arrangement reveals, is based on the ETA Valjoux 7750. This basic calibre is one of the best-tested and most reliable chronograph movements on the market and fits the brand's image. After all, Breitling has been producing uncompromising "instrumentals for professionals" for decades. The company obtains the calibre 7750 as a raw movement (a so-called "ébauche") and modifies it extensively. Among other things, a Glucydur balance, Anachron balance spring and Incabloc shock protection are used. The calibre 13 of the Chrono Cockpit has a power reserve of 42 hours, runs at 28,800 A/h and displays the date at three o'clock.
